Teachers that is. And, the math is just that simple but it's how Guilford County Schools attracted math teachers to teach Algebra I. It's not always easy to find qualified math teachers and if you happen to be one, you might just want to look into the 10,000. bonus that Guilford County is offering.

I think that a real math teacher loves teaching the concept of numbers with or without a promise of money. I tutor students online for free and no one pays me a dime. I like helping students and math is my passion.

In general, I think that teachers choose to go into teaching and stay there, even with lower pay than other degree professionals, because of their desire to make a difference. But the reality is that money playes a factor, just as in any profession. Unlike professional athletes, it just is not the most important factor.
