Gender Differences in Problem Solving

Maybe there is a benefit to having ADD and being impulsive!   A study at the University of Missouri,  shows that girls and boys demonstrate  different approaches to solving arithmetic problems. Girls tended to prefer a slow and accurate approach, where as boys preferred a faster approach which tended to have more errors. The girls' approach gave them an early advantage, but by the end of sixth grade boys had surpassed the girls. In a time when problem solving is an essential component in math curricula, this could provide some important information for educators. Full story.

i think boys brain processing speed is more. they may produce errors but they learn more experiences. the life of male members is also a wide spectrum of experiences. Girls prefer to approach less variant solution. therefore they like a smooth way of life with consistency..
