Every year, I used to complain about the rising cost of the 12 gifts of Christmas until this year. Although it may cost $107,000 is US funds to purchase all the gifts mentioned in the traditional song, the good news is that the prices haven't changed since last year. When I was teaching, I used to get my students to do the research on price and them work out the calculation every year. One of their favorite tools to help them with the problem was Pascal's Triangle.
