All About Counting

Early counting concepts should begin with manipulatives. Children need opportunities to count to five using buttons, coins etc. It is important that they learn first to count to 5, then 10, then 15, then 20 etc. However, DON'T always start at 1. Ask young children to count to ten from 3 or from 6.
