Lower Difficulty Rating = Higher Scores?

So if I tell my students the math they are about to do isn't difficult, I may have better test results? That's exactly what the Daily News reports about some of the high stake state math tests, although it's too early to actually make conclusions. They're also not dealing with the same co-hort of students and the tests were supposed to be equally difficult, although this isn't always easy to ensure.
