Do you have a SMART board in your classroom? Math and the SMART boards tend to go hand in hand! There's a wealth of activites at a variety of grade levels to help your students engage in math. Here are a few favorites of mine:
- For Primary Age
- For Grades 6-12
- Misc. and All Grades The other great thing about having access to a SMART board is that you can put worksheets on the SMART board and have students do their answers in their notes which saves on the photocopying!
Thanks Allison for this tip.

SMART boards are rather cool classroom tools. I especially like their new multi-touch table.
It’s worth noting that Math-Whizz, an animated teaching and testing suite for elementary and middle-schoolers, was the first software to be officially accredited by SMART in the UK. We’ve had a lot of success in UK and US schools, especially where they need good material to use with interactive whiteboards and IT suites.
We now develop online math tutoring for school and home use. Do look us up!
The SMART board is my all rather favorite. I have it pernament (hanging over my whiteboard) and I use the SMART Board pens all the time! The only pest about it is that you sometimes have to re-callabrate it. But it is fun for my students to use. They even ask to come up and draw it on the board!
what the thing that we can do if we don’t have a SMART? i really appreciate your segment, continue to inspire people to love math………………
